Attention, Gratitude & Grace
Dec 02, 2024This is my most favorite time of year. The chill in the air while the fireplace blazes. Slippers and cozy blankets. Time to spend in reflection, celebration (and sometimes aggravation ;) with family and friends. Enjoying delicious foods and traditions that we cherish and the gratitude in my heart for it all!
I’m sending blessings to you and yours for a beautiful Thanksgiving! I am truly thankful that we are connecting here to encourage, inspire and lift each other up!
Here are 3 things I’m doing right now to make the most of this season and my experience as we wrap up 2024…
Bringing my full attention to wherever I am. I firmly believe that attention is our most valuable asset and this can be tough all the time but especially during the holiday season! So many things to do and places to be. A practice that has really helped me with this is to clearly define my play time, pay time and unfray time at this time of year. I relish going into my calendar and declaring my mini breaks and vacations from November-January. Once they are set, I commit to the times/days that I will focus in on connecting with clients, creating opportunities and working on content and upcoming projects. I keep 15-20 minutes every morning and evening as sacred space to get clear on what will make it a great day and then, unwinding from it all. Remember to be selective with events, tasks and activities that you commit to as time is at a premium.
Where will you bring your full presence?
Boosting my immunity: Strength training and sauna sessions 3 days a week, 2 daily walks with Woody the rescue ridgeback and eating (somewhat) clean while I enjoy a few favorite treats guilt-free is a nice balance to keep me as healthy and vibrant as possible. What’s your favorite way to build resilience, move and recover?
Extending gratitude & GRACE: I have been sending notes and texts of appreciation to clients, family and friends this month and there is nothing better to give me feelings of wellbeing and good vibes. Along with the virtuous gratitude, I am also working on cultivating the tougher one…GRACE. This is difficult if we carry unrealistic expectations, want (what we think is) the best for others and they disagree, or we take things too personally. If we can release the pressure valve around these things and extend goodwill instead, it’ll be a better experience for all. With gratitude and grace, let’s savor this time and these moments and how fortunate we really are. And at the same time, give GRACE to yourself and others along the way if things and people don’t go the way you hoped they would. Gratitude & Grace is the way I am putting a bow on this year.
What are you most grateful for? Where do you need a bit more grace?
I would love to hear what you are working on and how you calm the chaos during abundant, crazy times like these?
Wishing you & yours a beautiful season,
Blessings,
J'aime xo
